SACAA Examinations on 9 July 2009

As usual all arbiter examinations can be written in July (next opportunity is December). Persons who intend to write can search this website for information. All information previously published in the SACAA Manual will be on the website and can be downloaded by the candidate . Note that the examinations will be about the most recent FIDE LAWS (1.7.2009) .

The date is Thurs 9 July and examinations can be written at the union of choice /provided/ they arrange for an invigilator/coordinator which will contact SACAA directly for instructions – preferably by e-mail and BY 9 JUNE 2009. The invigilator must be a person that is connected to a Union Executive committee and or a qualified arbiter.

All candidates must pay the amount of R60 into the SACAA Account ONE MONTH before the examinations please and notify Elise or Eddie of which examination you wish to write – e.g. TS, PA or NA.

Note that the passing of the examination paper is not enough to be issued a certificate – the candidate will be required to submit reports of rated chess tournaments that he/she was on duty as the arbiter. Certificates are handed to the Presidents of Unions at CHESSA Council meetings.
